Well, I have been doing "blog neglect", which is a way of saying that I just haven't been blogging. No particular reason, except I have been a bit too busy and I just do not hang around my computer enough. Plus, the old dial up kind of works against me sometimes. But, alot of stuff has been happening, so here is one story of what God has done recently...
I took Daniel & Caleb along with me on a recent trip out along the Xingu River. We were traveling down from Vitoria to Souzel and in that region. It was a good time and we had a great meeting up at a little village called Limão (lemon creek), where the church currently meets in a schoolhouse and growing rapidly.
A couple of days later, Daniel was playing in the water right in front of another church, Caria, where we were planning to have a service. Suddenly, Daniel started screaming & crying, highly agitated and in extreme pain. I was in the church, resting and looking at some notes for what I was going to share with the church, when I heard Daniel. I knew immediately that he probably had been stung by a stingray. I got Daniel out of the water and laid him down on the floor of the church.
Stingray "stings" are caused by their tails and are extremely painful. One friend said he was delirious with fever for about 24 hours, screaming and crying. If infected, these wounds can take up to six months to heal.
I was very concerned for Daniel. We immediately started praying for Daniel. He was just writhing in pain on the floor has I held him and prayed as the wound around the sting was becoming inflamed. We quickly packed up our stuff in the motorboat and headed to Souzel, the closest town. I kept praying all the way for the Lord to heal Daniel.
About 45 minutes after we left, Daniel stopped crying. He told me it still hurt alot and I continued praying. By the time we reached Souzel after 90 minutes, the inflammation and pain were completely gone. Daniel had been completely healed. It was a miracle of God's grace and goodness.

As we pulled into town on our way home, we were rewarded with a wonderful sunset. Suzanne picked us up from the boat in the truck and we were so happy to be home. It was great to experience first hand the grace of God in our lives.
We appreciate all of your prayer for safety for our family.
